Why go
Siaobei is the fallback, and we mean that kindly. It runs every single day, midday to midnight, in a covered market-complex format. When it is pouring, when it is punishingly hot, or when your only free night is a Wednesday and everything else is closed, Siaobei is open.
Set expectations accordingly. This is closer to a covered food hall with shopping than a classic open-air night market, and the review scores reflect that. The seafood congee and braised pork rice are the orders. Come for a solid dinner, not a spectacle.

Where to find the top stalls
An indoor market. Stalls have zone and number codes (A02, A18, A31 and so on), which are the easiest way to find one, and many have their own seating. Parking is inside.
Night-market stalls rarely have their own address. We describe each position only as our dated sources state it. If you cannot see it, show the sign text to a vendor nearby. Stalls move and hours change, so check before a special trip.
