Information you provide
If you use our contact form or accessibility report form, we receive the information you choose to submit, such as your name, email address, and message. Form submissions are stored by Netlify, which hosts this website, and Netlify checks every submission for spam using Akismet, a service of Automattic. We use your message only to respond, investigate a correction, or address the issue you raised, and we keep form messages for up to 24 months after we last reply, unless we need them longer to resolve a dispute.
Hosting
Like any website, NightMarket.tw is served by its host, Netlify, which processes technical data such as your IP address and browser type to deliver pages, keep the site secure, and prevent abuse. This happens whatever you choose about analytics.
Google Analytics and cookies
We use Google Analytics, a service of Google LLC, loaded through Google Tag Manager, to understand which guides are useful and where the website can be improved. It runs only if you choose Allow analytics. Until you choose, and if you choose No thanks, neither Google Tag Manager nor Google Analytics loads, nothing is sent to Google, and no analytics cookies are set.
When you allow it, Google Analytics sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an ID) and collects the pages you view, referring pages, approximate location derived from your IP address, device and browser type, and basic engagement such as time on page. Google Analytics keeps this event-level data for 2 months. We look at it only in aggregated reports and do not use it to identify you.

We do not use advertising cookies. We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising or use analytics data for targeted advertising. Your analytics choice is stored in your browser’s local storage, not in a cookie. We also use Google Search Console to see how the site appears in Google search; it does not run on this website and sets no cookies.
Privacy choices

You can change or withdraw your choice at any time with the button above or the Privacy choices link at the bottom of every page. Choosing No thanks after Allow analytics stops analytics and deletes its cookies.

Why we use your information. We run Google Analytics only with your consent, and nothing is sent to Google before you choose. You can withdraw your consent at any time under Privacy choices. We use messages you send through our forms because we have a legitimate interest in answering you, correcting the guide, and fixing accessibility problems you report.
Where it is stored. Form submissions are stored by Netlify and analytics data by Google, both in the United States. Both providers take part in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and related mechanisms, with standard contractual clauses as an additional safeguard.
How long we keep it. We keep form messages for up to 24 months after we last reply, unless we need them longer to resolve a dispute. Google Analytics keeps event-level data for 2 months.
Your rights. You can ask to see, correct, or delete your information, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to receive a copy in a portable format. To make a request, use our contact form and choose Privacy request as the topic. We will reply within one month. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority, such as the authority in your EU country, the UK Information Commissioner’s Office, or the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner.
Users in Taiwan
Under Taiwan’s Personal Data Protection Act, we tell you the following. The collector is 360 DEV LLC. We collect personal data to answer your messages, keep the guide accurate, and, with your consent, analyze how the website is used. The categories are the name, email address, and message you submit in a form, and the analytics data described in this policy. The data is stored in the United States and processed for us by Netlify and Google, for the periods described in this policy. Under Article 3 of the Act, you may ask to look up or review your data, receive a copy, supplement or correct it, stop its collection, processing, or use, or delete it: use our contact form and choose Privacy request as the topic. Providing data is your choice, but if you do not give an email address, we cannot reply to you.
Third-party links
NightMarket.tw links to Google Maps, Tripadvisor, official tourism websites, and other third-party services. Those websites operate under their own privacy policies. We are not responsible for their data practices.

We use reasonable administrative and technical measures to protect information. No website or transmission method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Children
NightMarket.tw is a general travel-information website and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
