Why go
Zhongli Tourist Night Market, which locals also call Xinming Night Market, is Taoyuan's best-known night market and it opens every night. About 700 meters of stalls line Xinming Road, from mala stinky tofu and braised duck heads to rice-stuffed chicken wings and sesame oil chicken, with games and clothing stalls mixed in. It has been running since 1990 and is where Zhongli goes out to eat.
For visitors, the draw is the airport. It is about a 10 minute walk from Laojie River station on the Airport MRT, so if you are staying near the airport, catching an early flight, or just landed and want a proper night market dinner, it is far easier than heading into Taipei. Most stalls are long-standing fixtures, so do not expect much that is new, but the classics are all here.

Where to find the top stalls
The market runs along Xinming Road for about 700 meters between Zhongyang West Road and Minquan Road. Some stalls carry stall codes (such as A001 or C133) and others are known by their house number on Xinming Road, so look for either. Drivers can use the underground car park at Xinming Elementary School, about a 5 minute walk away (October 2026 guide).
Night-market stalls rarely have their own address. We describe each position only as our dated sources state it. If you cannot see it, show the sign text to a vendor nearby. Stalls move and hours change, so check before a special trip.

Where: Xinming Road No. 101, inside the market. A second mala stinky tofu stall, 台北麻將麻辣臭豆腐, is at No. 165.

Where: Stall A001 on Xinming Road. Also sells duck tongues and tempura. The Taoyuan Tourism page says it is braised fresh every day.

黃記麻油雞
Where: Xinming Road No. 77-1, beside a 7-Eleven. Another sesame oil chicken stall, 二師父麻油雞, is also on Xinming Road (no number given, closed Tuesday).

Where: On Xinming Road, inside the market. Our dated sources name the stall but give no house or stall number, so look for the sign.

- A November 2025 roundup quotes a reviewer saying most stalls are long-standing fixtures with few new items
