Taoyuan night markets

Taoyuan has three night markets worth knowing, and all three are scheduled every night. Zhongli Tourist is the big one and the easiest from Taoyuan Airport, Zhongyuan is the cheap student food district beside Chung Yuan Christian University, and Taoyuan Tourist is the low-key local market near Taoyuan Station.

Which one to pick

Zhongli Tourist Night Market is the one to pick if you only have time for one. It is a long street of fixed stalls on Xinming Road, about a 10 minute walk from Laojie River station on the Airport MRT, so it makes an easy dinner on a first or last night near the airport.

Zhongyuan Night Market suits an early, cheap dinner: it opens at 16:00, and the shops around Shijian Road and Rixin Road are priced for students. It has gone quieter, with a March 2026 report describing closed shops, and it is a bus ride from Zhongli Station rather than a walk.

Taoyuan Tourist Night Market is the choice if you are staying near Taoyuan Station. It is a neighborhood market spread over a few streets, and cars and scooters are kept out of the market streets from 19:00 to 22:00.
