Why go

Ruifeng is Kaohsiung's best market and it is not particularly close. Over a thousand stalls in a tight pedestrian grid by the Arena MRT station, with food, games, and shopping packed shoulder to shoulder. The review scores beat the more famous Liuhe on both platforms, and the local crowd confirms it nightly.

Angel Fried Chicken's cutlets and the Fujian-style fried noodles are the orders we chase, with a papaya milk to cool the chili off. The aisles are narrow and Friday and Saturday get intense, but that density is also what makes it feel alive.

Ruifeng makes a good finish to a day in the north of the city: Inside Kaohsiung’s two-day itinerary starts the second day at Lotus Pond and ends it here, or at Liuhe on Ruifeng’s closed nights.

Where to find the top stalls

Ruifeng is a grid of numbered rows (排) at Yucheng Road and Nanping Road. Each row's number is marked on the ground at its entrance, and rows 2 and 3 are the main food rows. Positions below are row numbers.

Night-market stalls rarely have their own address. We describe each position only as our dated sources state it. If you cannot see it, show the sign text to a vendor nearby. Stalls move and hours change, so check before a special trip.

Rain cover

Seating

Toilets

Paying

Most stalls prefer cash, and a few take LINE Pay or JKOPAY. Since April 2026 Ruifeng has been an iPASS MONEY demonstration site for TWQR cross-border QR payments, so Japanese visitors can pay with PayPay at participating stalls. Parking

Nearby car parks include Sanmin Home Economics and Commerce School (三民家商停車場, about 150 m), 吉利停車場 (about 230 m) and the Kaohsiung Arena hourly car park (高雄巨蛋計時停車場, about 230 m).
