Which one to pick
Pingtung Tourist Night Market is the place for Pingtung meatballs, chicken rice and old-style ices, about 10 minutes on foot from Pingtung Station. It is open to traffic and scooters ride into the lanes, so watch where you walk.
Kenting Street Night Market is the evening walk after a day on the beaches: stalls, cocktail stands and bars along both sides of Kenting Road. The road stays open to cars, buses and scooters, so keep to the side.
Hengchun Night Market is Sunday only, in Hengchun town, about 15 minutes’ drive from Kenting Street. Prices are aimed at locals, most stalls take cash only, and popular stalls sell out early.
