Taitung City after dark
Taitung City has two night markets that split the week. The Taitung Tourism Night Market fills Zhengqi Road downtown from Thursday to Saturday, and Siwei, the bigger of the two, runs on Sunday.
Taitung Tourism Night Market is a compact downtown dinner walk: one street of about 250 meters on Zhengqi Road, near Tiehua Music Village and the Taitung Transfer Station. Sources disagree on its hours, so check on the day.
Siwei Night Market is Taitung’s big Sunday market, with games for children. For now it sets up at the end of Siwei Road beside the TAITUNG letter landmark while its usual site is under construction, and you will need a car, scooter or taxi.
