Gongguan sits beside National Taiwan University, and it eats like a student market: quick, cheap, and late. Stalls have traded in these lanes off Roosevelt Road since 1953. The best-known is Hsiung Chi, whose scallion pancake is a 2026 Michelin Bib Gourmand pick.
Add sweet potato balls from the vegetarian stall in Lane 108, then walk the surrounding blocks to Lan Chia for gua bao. It is a smaller market than the big names, so pair it with an afternoon by the river or at Treasure Hill Artist Village.

Where to find the top stalls
The city lists the night market as Lanes 90 and 108 of Roosevelt Road Section 4, beside Shuiyuan Market. Some well-known Gongguan food stops are outside those two lanes, in the alleys of Roosevelt Road Section 3 near Gongguan MRT.
Night-market stalls rarely have their own address. We describe each position only as our dated sources state it. If you cannot see it, show the sign text to a vendor nearby. Stalls move and hours change, so check before a special trip.

Know before you go
- Official sources say little about individual stalls, so our list leans on recent food guides
- Shida Night Market, two MRT stops north, is now officially a shopping area rather than a night market and has shrunk. Do not plan a separate trip around it.
